Overview of role

The primary job purpose is to source potential new clients for the Property Lending division of the Bank. To liaise and negotiate with these and existing clients of the Bank and to accurately analyse potential transactions.

To structure financing solutions to various property transactions on high value transactions. To provide these clients with the necessary information, support and assistance throughout the life span of their facilities/business transactions with the Bank to ensure effective and efficient business relationships.

The successful candidate will fill the role of a key deal generator in the Johannesburg region, with a focus on growing the property advances book in the range of R400 million annually.

Responsibilities

Compliance - Ensure compliance with FICA - Communicate requirements to clients, collate required documents, capture detail onto the system and submit for approval.
Ensure compliance with FATCA, POPI and FAIS/TCF.

Client Administration - Control and coordinate all aspects of a transaction, ensuring the timeous and smooth conclusion of the transaction.

Managing and Growing Client Relationships - Effectively manage, maintain and strengthen client relationships.

Managing existing loan book - Maintain existing loan book by ensuring client satisfaction and receiving positive feedback on all aspects of the process; Attend to all operational aspects of renewals, extensions and amendments to facilities accordingly to remain competitive and relevant in an ever-changing economy

New Business/Division Fee Target and Stretch - Source new clients for the Property Lending division and ensure growth of the existing loan book. Negotiate transaction terms with potential clients while analysing transactions accurately. Communicate with these potential clients timeously while looking after the best interests of the Bank.

Qualification

BSC PROPERTY STUDIES WITH HONOURS; OR
B COMM/FINANCIAL QUALIFICATION WITH HONOURS

Experience

Minimum  6-8 years’ senior level experience in the property market; or financial services industry.
